Linda FairburnLinda is President of Make Things Happen Limited, a management consultancy providing succession planning and leadership transition assistance for family businesses and nonprofit corporations accomplished through organization development consulting, facilitation, training and coaching in Canada and the United States.

Fairburn specializes in the human side of enterprises where unique situations call for integrated approaches to change management, leadership development, strategy implementation, assessment, remedial team building, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills development. Linda's primary clients are families, founders, key staff managers, partners, boards of directors and their chief executive officers where succession-planning issues are the primary concern.

Linda holds a Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) from Pepperdine University in California, a Bachelor's degree in Education and Art Therapy from the University of Waterloo (BIS), a diploma in Biographical Counseling from Arscura School for the Healing Arts in Toronto and has completed studies in Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia.

Fairburn's eclectic educational background paired with 35 years of experience as an art therapist, adult educator, business entrepreneur and change agent provide the right mix of skills and sensitivity required to successfully guide the often challenging process of succession planning.

Fairburn is a Canadian best selling author and expert in the area of succession planning. Fairburn's work includes international engagements in China, South Asia, Nepal and throughout North America. In addition to her consulting practice, Linda is an adult educator teaching at the University of Toronto, OISE from 1999 - 2011 and at York University, Schulich School of Business in the Masters Certificate in Adult Training and Development program from 2011 - 2014.
